Bumsy is a contemporary abstract sensual body print artist creating bold, sensual wall art and limited edition fine art prints.

 

From a very young age, Bumsy discovered the magic of bodyprints without even knowing it was art.

 

Her canvas was the brick paving beside the swimming pool; her medium was water. The pool was her place — a world she disappeared into for hours, staying in the water until her skin wrinkeled and turned blue from the cold.

When she finally climbed out, she would lie on the warm bricks and watch the shapes her body left behind.  She saw butterflies in her hands, strange creatures in the marks her arms and legs made and patterns that felt alive.  She didn’t call it art then — she simply felt it.

​

Then she grew up.  Life happened, as it does.  Much later, she found her way back to creativity, trying all sorts of art forms but never quite connecting with them.  Something was missing… until one day, for love or with love, she made a bodyprint again.

​

It was exciting and this time sensual and expressive — the water swapped for paint, the bricks swapped for canvas, but the feeling was mindblowing.

 

Movement.  Warmth.  Presence.  A moment captured by the body itself.

Today, Bumsy creates expressive, tactile works that honour freedom of expression.   She loves how alive the process makes her feel and hopes you feel that same energy when you experience her art.
